Tracking ID is a unique code added to your site that allows Google analytics to track it. It monitors how many visitors are active on your site within a specific time period, such as past week, within 14 days or month.
How to use Google Analytics for tracking the website?
- Sign into Google Analytics with your Google account.
- Select a account or create a account. Add account details.
- Click on the drop down menu to create a property and give property details.
- Click on the website option and add your site name and URL.
- Choose your industry.
- Choose your time zone.
- Click on get Tracking ID.
- Install Tracking ID on your website.
- Paste the Tracking ID in the Analytics and web property of other option of the blogger.
- Paste tracking code in the theme section of the blog.
- Then save the theme.

Traffic source can be defined as the origin through which people found your site. Every session or visit to your website has origin or source of the hit. There are different types of traffic sources. Commonly used traffic sources are:
- Direct Traffic
Direct Traffic measures the users who type a URL directly into the browser or have a bookmark for the website saved.

When a user clicks on a display ad on a publisher, they are directed to the advertiser's site via an ad network.
